KAGAN BASED ACTIVITIES

Kagan based activities structures are instructional strategies designed to promote cooperation and communication in the classroom boosts students’ confidence and retain their interest in classroom interaction.
I conducted three kagan based strategies during my internship.
           1) Act it out
    2) Name, place, animal, thing
        3) Can you describe me?
Act it out:
In this strategy game I made picture chart of some objects. Student  have to look at picture and do action which other group members have to identify.  Various examples such as umbrella, frog, elephant, rain, tigers etc.,
Name, place, animal and thing:
4 columns named NAME, PLACE, ANIMAL and THING were drawn on chalk board. Group of 20 students participated in the game. Whichever letter they get randomly based on that they have to write the name, place, animal and things. Scoring was also done simultaneously.
Can you describe me?
Here group were made and each row got a cheat have name of animal. Any one student have to come forward and describe the animal by giving indirect hints.
